What Rampart does

It checks the two places scams most often reach you: text messages and email. Family coverage adds reassurance without giving relatives access to private conversations.

On your iPhone

SMS filtering

Suspicious texts move to Junk. Rampart never deletes them, so you can always check what was filtered.

Gmail and Outlook

Email warnings

Rampart checks connected email for phishing signals and sends a warning. Email body text is processed temporarily and discarded.

Minimum information. Real reassurance.

Family Check-In

A trusted relative can see whether protection is active. They cannot see messages, senders, subjects, or inbox activity.

Set it up once

Install Rampart, choose the SMS categories you want filtered, and connect Gmail or Outlook if you want email warnings.

Questions people ask before installing Rampart

Choose the FAQ language first.

Rampart is regional, so the clearest answers depend on the country and language you prefer. Pick one and we’ll open the FAQ there.

Why does Rampart charge a subscription?
  • No ads, no selling customer data. The subscription is the entire business model.
  • Constant threat research. Scam patterns evolve daily. Your subscription funds the team that tracks new smishing kits and fraud campaigns as they appear.
  • Ongoing model updates. The on-device filter and email detector are updated as new threats land.
  • Human support. Real people, not a bot loop. Families hit by fraud need a person to talk to.
  • Privacy infrastructure. On-device SMS scanning, encrypted OAuth token storage, temporary email-body processing, and hashed metadata cost more to build than a simpler data-hungry pipeline.
What happens when I connect email?
  • Rampart checks connected Gmail or Outlook messages for phishing signals. Email body text is processed temporarily for risk analysis and discarded. It is not stored on Rampart servers.
  • Subject lines are stored only as SHA-256 hashes. Sender addresses are hashed before storage. Sender domains may be kept to detect spoofing.
  • OAuth tokens for connected email accounts are encrypted at rest and used only to provide email protection.
  • See the full Privacy Policy for the exact data map.
Does it work with any email provider?
  • Gmail and Microsoft Outlook at launch. Both use read only OAuth scopes.
  • More providers are on the roadmap.
  • SMS filtering works regardless of carrier or email provider.
  • Apple Sign In is for account login only. Email scanning requires a separate Gmail or Outlook connection. See our Terms for details.
Is it safe to connect my email to Rampart?
  • Yes. Rampart asks for the access it needs to check for phishing signals in Gmail or Outlook, then works inside Apple and provider rules.
  • Email body text is processed temporarily for risk analysis and discarded. It is not stored on Rampart servers and it is not used for ads or data sales.
  • Family Check-In does not show email body text, senders, subjects, attachments or inbox activity. It only shows whether protection is active.
Is Rampart on Android?
  • Soon. Register your interest and we will let you know.
What if a real message gets blocked?
  • SMS. Blocked messages go to the iPhone Junk folder, not deleted. You can always check.
  • Email. Rampart never blocks email. It only sends a notification. You decide what to do next.
How is this different from a carrier spam filter?
  • Carrier filters are trained on general spam. Rampart is trained on the specific fraud patterns hitting people in your region now.
  • It covers email, which carriers do not touch.
  • The model updates as new scam waves emerge. Carriers do not ship weekly updates.
What does Rampart store about me?
  • Email address (via Apple, Google or Microsoft sign in), display name if provided, language and region.
  • SHA-256 hashes of email subject and sender. Body text is never stored.
  • Threat analysis results (threat score, reason, recommended action).
  • SMS message content stays on the phone. Hashed identifiers and threat scores may be synced to provide protection status and improve detection.
  • Full list in the Privacy Policy. Rampart Technologies FZCO is based in the UAE and designs its privacy program around applicable privacy obligations, including PDPL and GDPR where they apply.
