Privacy Policy
Rampart is being built to warn about suspicious SMS and risky emails without turning private messages into an advertising business.
We do not sell or rent customer data. We do not use message content for ads.
What Rampart collects
Rampart may collect the information needed to run the service, support accounts, manage subscriptions, improve scam detection, and respond to support requests.
- Account information, such as your name, email address and sign-in method. We use it to authenticate you, personalize Rampart and restore your account.
- Launch registration information, such as email address and selected country.
- Subscription and App Store status when the app is available.
- Security and diagnostic data needed to keep the service working.
- Optional encrypted email connection tokens if you choose to connect Gmail or Outlook.
- Risk-analysis results, such as threat score, reason, recommended action and related security metadata.
SMS filtering
Rampart's SMS filtering is designed to run on device inside Apple's SMS filtering environment. Suspicious messages can be filtered or categorized without Rampart storing the content of your SMS messages on our servers. Hashed identifiers and threat scores may be synced to provide protection status and improve detection.
Email warnings
If you connect Gmail or Outlook, Rampart uses that access to look for phishing signals and warn you about risky emails. Email body text is processed temporarily for risk analysis and discarded. It is not stored on Rampart servers, used for advertising, or sold to third parties.
Subject lines and sender addresses may be stored as SHA-256 hashes. Sender domains may be kept to help detect spoofing and impersonation.
Family Check-in
Family Check-in is designed to show whether protection is active. It does not show message content, email body text, email subjects, senders, attachments, inbox activity, or private conversations to family members.
